Read how Fred liked watching tween film Aquamarine.

Aquamarine was a great movie that transcended the teen girl genre. The fish jokes were funny, the best friends were sincere and the mermaid was magically innocent. The DVD offers plenty more where that came from.

The deleted scenes are perfectly cute. The mermaid bouncing around with her new feet, learning about The Men's Room, more fashion montages and further comeuppance for the bad girl are exactly what fans of Aquamarine want. There are a few minor exposition snippets but most are worthwhile deleted scenes.

Seeing the girls audition is great fun too. Sara Paxton nailed it right away, bouncing around all bubbly and crying on cue in the same session. She even tells us how she cried and it's so adorable. Emma Roberts and Jojo aren't quite best friends in the audition, but they're getting there. Jake McDorman is charming and Arielle Kebble is a b****, so they must be really good actors.
