Vin Diesel puts on some hair to be taken seriously in Find Me
Guilty.
Find Me Guilty may have seemed like a stunt for Vin Diesel to get taken a little more seriously, but it was actually an inventive courtroom drama. Based on a story so crazy it could only be true, this surprisingly funny film makes a fine bookend to Sidney Lumet's classic 12 Angry Men. "A Conversation with Sidney Lumet" is the only extra feature on the DVD but it's all you need. Vin Diesel already told the story about gaining wait, putting on the hair and reading Lumet's book on every talk show in the world. It's more like "Soundbites with Sidney Lumet" because they just take snippets of an interview on various subjects. Some are embarrassingly short but to the point, and none are more than a minute, but Lumet covers the real DiNorscio, the real case, Diesel defying the stereotype, and creating various aspects of the film. It's no appendix to "Making Movies" but it's Lumet in his own words.
