My friend was all excited to sit down and watch with me Lindsay Lohan's teen flick swan song, Just My Luck. To make a long story short, she ended up shooting the duck.
La Lohan play Ashley Albright, a girl who's just had everything come her way her entire life. However, one kiss wipes that all away and transfers it to Jake Hardin, played by Chris Pine, who's been down on his luck his entire life.
The rest of the movie are funny moments that seemingly all link up but don't really make any real statement. I mean, come on ... tween film Aquamarine was much much better ... and that was about a mermaid and her walking friends. But, I digress ...
The double-sided DVD release gives you a choice whether you want to see it Letterboxed or Anamorphic Widescreen. Special features include 3 fairly funny deleted scenes. A two-plus minute featurette called the 'Look of Luck' which basically takes us through Lindsay's wardrobe from fab to drab and back again. There is another featurette featuring the band McFly (also in the movie) about shooting their performance at the end.
Fairly uninspired, but what do you expect from a film that tried to be a self-fulfilling prophecy.
